Xact offers EGL Course

Xact is now ready to offer courses in IBM's development tool EGL (Enterprise Generation Langugae).

The course is available in Danish and English.

Course Decription

The course provides a general description of the RAD work area and how EGL fits into the work area.

The course describes the various environments in which EGL may be developed and run. EGL's Workbench (the development and testing work area) is described and discussed. This includes a presentation on how to set up the most common preferences.

Upon learning about all of the components an application consists of, the course participants will learn how to build and test EGL applications.

The EGL Language is discussed, and the participants are introduced to the excellent built-in help system and how to utilize it.

The participants will also learn how to use the most necessary general features.

EGL is suitable for many different types of applications: TUI applications (3270 screenshots), batch applications (e.g. applications for operation with JCL or called applications), JSF (Java Server Faces - Web applications), WEB-Services (both demonstration of one's own Web services as well as the use of external Web services). A modular course, each of Xact's EGL courses is customized to suit the needs of your organization and participants. The course has a 50/50 balance of theory and hands-on tasks.
